A resolution was adopted on March 26, 2019, in the EU Parliament. Articles 7 to 9 are about reparation and restitution, as mentioned above. That is the result of the diplomatic efforts of Dr. Louis-Georges Tin, Prime Minister of the State of the African Diaspora, and his partners.

Another resolution was voted on March 29, 2019, in the Francophone Parliament of Belgium for restitution.

It was achieved through the State of the African Diaspora and the NGO called le CRAN-Belgique.

A law was voted in France in December 2021 to return 26 royal artifacts to Benin, and another one to Senegal.

This is also the outcome of the campaign started by Dr Louis-Georges Tin, a few years before.
