These achievements are historical. However, they are only a very small part of all the artifacts stolen from Africa. That is why we need to continue our battle.

Restitution is obviously our first aim. This website is a tool for advocacy. It shows some examples of artifacts that were stolen from Africa or elsewhere. It provides historical background, legal references, galleries, and arguments to counter the neo-colonialist rhetorics. Whatever was stolen needs to be restituted. Restitution is reparation, and reparation is justice.

Education is our second aim. We need to educate people, African or not, about our legacy. It is a source of knowledge, spirituality, but also of pride and even finances. That is why this history and these artifacts are also a part of our future.
